Glebe Walk

45 greyhounds and other sight- hounds attended the Glebe walk, Bowness-on-Windermere on the 9th January 2022. We raised a super £285.50 (‘pound a hound’: £79.70, van shop sales: £205.80, so a huge thank you to the ‘team’ for making it such a success. The team being all the hounds and their owners as well as all the volunteers and behind the scenes organisers and helpers.

Our next monthly walk will be on Sunday 13th February 2022 at Heysham Village.
Starts at 11 am, meeting in the car park on Barrows Lane - LA3 2RW (£1 for 4 hours).

There is tea/coffee and biscuits/cakes after the walk by the RGSL van in the car park.

This is a fairly short walk of 2 miles in total, but we’re planning a pit stop half way round at Half Moon Bay Cafe which is dog friendly and serves delicious dog sausages for the hound visitors and bacon rolls / tea / cake for the humans.

The RGSL van will be present in the car park and will have a selection of merchandise for sale including, long and short snoods, 100% waterproof outdoor coats, double fleece bedding coats, winter warmers, dog sweaters, martingale collars, leads and Anne Welding’s unique, individually hand made birthday, blank and other greeting cards..
