First Aid Workshop for Hounds

Saturday 22nd October 2022

Some vets and nurses from Highgate Veterinary Clinic are kindly offering their services free of charge to help us with a practical workshop on FIRST AID FOR HOUNDS at Witherslack Village Hall LA11 6RW.

For just £20 you will have a ‘hands on’ experience to learn how to deal with minor injuries and illnesses, things to look out for if your hound isn’t well, how to apply dressings, take temperatures and ask questions about areas that interest you. It should be a super day with a small starter first aid kit to take home.

There are 2 sessions (one beginning at 9 am., the other at 2pm). Coffee and tea breaks at 10.30 am and 3.30 pm and a finger buffet lunch between 12 noon and 1.30 pm for those finishing the morning session and those arriving for the afternoon one.

Can you please let us know by email, WhatsApp or phoning 015395 52394 if you wish to attend and we can let you know how to pay. Can you also let us know whether you want the morning or afternoon session and if you are bringing your hound. The hounds attending should be calm and not mind having dressings and bandages applied to them.

The vets and nurses attending from Highgate Veterinary Clinic are offering their services free of charge and all proceeds are going towards the care of and homing of the greyhounds here at RGSL.

We look forward to you joining us and many thanks.

RGSL Co-ordinator & Trustee
