Please arrive for 10:45 for 11:00 hours start with a £1 a hound collection at the meeting location, which is the Kendal Snowsport car park - LA9 7AJ (next to Recycling Centre).

Limited car parking is available at ski slope for early arrivals. Public Carpark next door is £1.30 for all day but ONLY ACCEPTS CARDS / CONTACLESS. No cash payments. Machine was very slow last year!

All hounds to be on leads during the walk, dog waste responsible disposed of and any reactive hounds to please wear a muzzle - this is a popular walking spot. There will be a short (0.75 mile) and long (1.5 miles) route available on the day with glorious panoramic views from the top of Kendal Castle for those who brave the ascent. If the weather is still hot we will stay in the shade under the trees.

£1 a hound collection at the start of the walk - all proceeds to Retired Greyhounds South Lakes. Weather permitting we will be serving refreshments (tea/coffee/cake) in the Snowsports Club carpark at the end of the walk and toilet facilities will be open at the club for walkers.

The RGSL van will be present with a variety of goods for sale including Birthday / Greeting cards, outdoor coats, fleeces and rain macs in sizes 18" to 32", snoods, martingale collars, leads, the rummage boxes and much, much more.

Normal rules apply for the group walks - this is a walk for sighthounds only and please be aware that some hounds attending can be nervous and not used to meeting other breeds of dogs. If you have  a nervous hound please ensure it’s muzzled and please keep all hounds on the lead at all times. Dog waste to be bagged and responsibly disposed of.
