W/C 23rd January 2023

This week at RGSL we have homed 2 dogs. Anna (Kanes Anna) and Margie (Margie) we wish you both a very happy healthy retirement in your new homes.

We had a lovely visit from Andrew and Charlie, a volunteer and his greyhound who relocated to Pickering. Andrew has adopted Margie, and Charlie is looking forward to showing Margie the ropes in her new home.

Diana (Dianas Double) arrived on Wednesday. She is a lovely brindle and has settled in well. After visiting the vets for her spay and full health check Diana will be ready for her new home.

Penny (Minellas Penny) has been building her confidence some more this week, she braved the Derby arms with Stuart and George. Penny did find a great hiding place under the table (see photo above) but actually took a dog biscuit from the landladys hand when offered it… massive progress Penny well done!

The children from Sandgate school and Underley Garden came on their regular weekly visits and enjoyed spending some times with the dogs.

Volunteers came to walk the dogs and help do jobs around the centre.

Dreamer (Xmas Dreamer) who arrived in last week is doing really well, she has recovered nicely from being spayed. We have someone showing interest and coming to see her this week.

Also we are now taking names of people who are wishing to attend the first aid course for dogs on Saturday 3rd June. If anyone is interested please let Jenny know with your preference of morning or afternoon session.

Helen
