. . . Greyhounds make superb blood donors because they can donate to any breed of dog.
. . . Any weighing 25 kg or more who are under the age of 9 years, and fit and well can donate blood.
. . . Your dog is given a full health check including testing a blood sample to ensure they are fit and well.
. . . They lay on a comfortable bed on a table and give 450ml., then after they receive rest, refreshments and a ‘goody’ bag.

The whole process involving the collection of blood is very easy and the team are very good at putting both the owner and the donor at ease. The donor simply lies down, relaxes and enjoys all the love and attention they are given while the 450ml is being collected.
