March Walk

SUNDAY 12th MARCH 2023 - CARTMEL

Please arrive for 10:45 for 11:00 start - The meeting place is the car park at the racecourse Grand Stand. so when you drive through Cartmel square turn RIGHT at the Village Shop. This will take you to the Grand Stand where they are kindly letting us park FREE of charge.
DO NOT PARK IN THE MAIN PUBLIC CAR PARK!

The gates are opening at 10 am and closing at 2.30 pm . We must leave by then.

This is a walk around the fields and woods near the racecourse in Cartmel.
Walk length is approximately 1.5 miles for the group walk, but longer and shorter routes are available on the day. Following the walk we will serve refreshments (tea/coffee/cake) and the RGSL van with a selection of merchandise.

Normal rules apply for the group walks - this is a walk for sighthounds only and please be aware that some hounds attending can be nervous and not used to meeting other breeds of dogs. If you have  a nervous hound please ensure it’s muzzled and please keep all hounds on the lead at all times. Dog waste to be bagged and responsibly disposed of. 

£1 a hound collection at the start of the walk - all proceeds to Retired Greyhounds South Lakes.

We will be bringing the RGSL van with a selection of merchandise for sale including: long and short snoods, 100% waterproof outdoor coats, rain macs, double fleece bedding coats, dog sweaters, winter warmers, martingale collars, leads and Anne Welding’s unique, individually hand made Birthday cards, blank and other greeting cards.
Due to the variety of stock we now have we can only take a selection to the walks, so if you want something specific let Jenny know on 015395 52394 and we will include it in the van.
