Last Week’s News

Last week was another busy week at the centre.

Iris came to stay with us for a little while as she had corns, unfortunately she was a little over weight so was put on a healthy eating plan to loose a few kilos, so it was safe for her to have the anesthetic. Iris did a great job and lost over 6 kilos, subsequently went for her Flexor tenotomy on Thursday and is doing great. She will soon be reuntited with her owner.

Dream (Xmas Dreamer) arrived who is a small black female, weighs 26.15kg, was spayed and health checked on Thursday, and all went well. She was cat tested Sunday along with Anna and both proved to be cat trainable.

Underley Garden School and Sandgates School visited us on their regular days. The Children helped Jenny feed the dogs, groom them and the dogs thoroughly enjoyed the attention.

Our Volunteers came and walked the dogs, did some cleaning. Margie was taken along the prom in Grange, where she had a lovely walk and was very well behaved. A volunteer who walked Ritzy also said he walked much better this week, and seemed more relaxed with the environment. He’s brilliant in the house and is a cuddle monster who will make someone a lovely companion.

Helen.
