April monthly walk

SUNDAY 16th APRIL 2023 - CONISTON

Please arrive for 10:45 for 11:00 starting at Coniston Sports & Social Club, Shepherds Bridge Lane, LA21 8AL

We will be collecting £2 contribution for each car for parking and the toilets are in the club. A £1 a hound collection at the start of the walk - all proceeds to Retired Greyhounds South Lakes.

This is an easy flat walk along paths down towards and along the side of Coniston Water, then back through Coniston village. It does involve a short section walking along a quiet road. Route length is 2.9 km (1.8 miles) and will take approximately 1 hour in a group.

Following the walk we will serve refreshments (tea/coffee/cake) and the RGSL van will be there with a with a selection of merchandise for sale including: long and short snoods, 100% waterproof outdoor coats, rain macs, double fleece bedding coats, dog sweaters, winter warmers, martingale collars, leads and Anne Welding’s unique, individually hand made Birthday cards, blank and other greeting cards.
Due to the variety of stock we now have we can only take a selection to the walks, so if you want something specific let Jenny know on 015395 52394 and we will include it in the van.

Normal rules apply for the group walks - this is a walk for sighthounds only and please be aware that some hounds attending can be nervous and not used to meeting other breeds of dogs. If you have  a nervous hound please ensure it’s muzzled and please keep all hounds on the lead at all times. Dog waste to be bagged and responsibly disposed of.
