A little update
So far this year we’ve managed to home 34 greyhounds, with 6 here looking for homes and more waiting to come in. Joe has been reserved, Napper and Mini have people coming to look at them, and Misty, Leah and Cracker are looking for homes. Cracker is a super little girl but she’s very difficult to walk on her own - she only got as far a the local shop today, bless her.
Thank you everyone who ordered things from the RGSL wish list. We are extremely grateful for your help. The list only has a few things on at present, but we will be adding other items as we think of them. If you can get anything cheaper elsewhere and wish to do so, please do, and if you wish to bring them to Beech Hill House or to a walk venue you may.
We are getting a visit from the BBC North West (fingers crossed) next week with Owain Wyn Evans who does the weather reports, with some on location around the region. We are all very excited about this, and we will let you know what happens and when it will be going on air.
We are in the process of moving the coal and firewood from where it is at present and boarding the place for me to store things that are currently in the shoffice. The building has also been extended to make a food store because such a large area of the shoffice held food making it difficult to get to anything else. Our second pallet of Gain20 arrived yesterday. Can’t believe it only took a month to get through the first one. This pallet has been put in the new food store Stuart and Clive have been building, and Charles has painted. I’ll get a photo to show you on another post. The work they are now doing will eventually enable us to use the shoffice to display the many things we have on sale making it easier for people to come and buy things.
Don’t forget our next walk is at 11 am on the 19th September at Sizergh Castle near Kendal. We are taking part in the Great Global Greyhound Walk and hope it will be as popular as last time when 99 greyhounds attended. The weekend after the walk - the 26th September is the Teeth and Nail Session held here at Beech Hill House. Keep an eye on the web site to see if you are attending and what time.
Think that’s all for now, apart from thanking you all once again for your help and support, without which we couldn’t achieve what we do. Thank you.
